There upon the ocean blue,

We found two – me and you.

Your wave had fallen, so had mine,

Our crests were torn in two!

Two lovers lost – imperfect ones,

Though two – though one…

As fallen doves,

I lifted you, you lifted me,

And we became,

Our entwined loves.

Crests, the darlings of my thoughts,

Red the colour of my blight,

Let come your fallen crests and cry

Upon my heart and give me sight!
